We have just entered a New Year and it is probably quite likely that you have already failed to stick to those resolutions you drunkenly made on December 31st. Occasionally the stress of life just takes its toll and the resolutions we make to ourselves regarding health and wellness just go down the pan.
“I don’t care anymore! I am stressed and I am giving in and having a ciggie!”
Well, a health spa may be just the thing you need! All people need a bit of “me time” and escaping the family or the stress of the office will enable you to clear your mind. In such an environment where health and inner peace are the central focus, you’ll find it easier to prioritise the changes you feel you need to make to have a healthier, happier mind and body.
And you will WANT to make those changes too.
Indulging yourself in a dead sea mud wrap, a Pilate’s session or a deep African massage The only way to achieve this is to look after yourself time to bin those fags and those post-work takeaways. The only method to achieving this is to look after yourself time to throw away those cigarettes and ensure you’re getting your 5 a day!
A method of incentive that I like to use to help encourage me to take proper care of myself is to buy some gift vouchers for my favourite (and admittedly expensive!) spa, which I pin to my calender. I can only use these vouchers once I have reached a milestone. For me, these milestones include attending every weekly Pilate’s class without fail for a four month duration, or shifting that extra half stone that creeps on after each Christmas or holiday.
You can of course cater targets to your own needs.
